Shiny Object Lemonade…
That’s what you make when life gives you shiny objects
I know, a bit of a strange introduction to a post but bear with me.
As you may know, if you have been reading my posts here, I am a HUGE fan of Lee Murray. He really does put out high quality training. Not only that, Lee also does what he teaches…and does it damn well. For instance, he recently came top on the leader-board for a big product launch (yesterday in fact). So, not only is he the real deal, he is proof that what he teaches is for real, and works.
I have just been given access to a review copy of Lee’s latest creation, Shiny Object Lemonade. Let me tell you, all I can say is WOW! Wow, wow, wow! Can you tell I like it? That would be an understatement. This thing is 72 pages of pure, unadulterated mastery, from an Internet Marketing Master himself.
I read it front to back all in one go…I couldn’t stop reading it once I started. For real, if you are trying to start an online business, or you have been at it for a while, you NEED this. Why? Let me explain.
Most of us who try to start an online business will fail within the first 3 months. 95% or more of us, in fact. This is not just speculation, it is fact (just look it up if you don’t believe me). The main reason for this is because there is no plan in place; no strategy. It usually goes something like this:
- We buy a course promising instant results
- We try out the method (usually half-heartedly)
- We do not see instant results
- We stop trying that and move onto the next course that promises instant success
- Go back to step two and repeat
Now, most marketers will tell us to stop chasing these ‘Shiny Objects’, and focus on one thing. Sounds like good advice right? Well, Lee tips that right on it’s head. He actually encourages us to try out different things. It actually becomes part of our strategy in this completely original training.
Lee actually give us not one, not two, not three but four different strategies we can follow. The choice is up to us which one we choose. Or does it have to be only one choice?
I don’t want to give too much away but when our natural tendency to chase ‘Shiny Objects’ actually becomes the path to success, as outlined in this training, things become so much clearer (and simpler).
I did a quick video review of this training, which you can watch below. I was so excited by it I didn’t even bother to get the lighting right or anything. I just picked up the phone and started recording.
I am telling you guys and gals, this is life-changing stuff. Get this at the ridiculously low give-away price that he is asking ($5 I think when it goes on sale on the 12th of September) and you are virtually guaranteed to place yourself in the top 5% of all of us who try to make this online business thing work.
I kid you not, I had a serious awakening to what I was doing wrong when I read it. I hope you will too. This is so worth it, it should be criminal to ‘give’ it away this cheaply.
This is a big, fat no-brainer purchase. Every once in a while something epic comes along which can change lives. This is one of those times.
You DO NOT want to miss out on this, and I want to make sure you don’t, so sign up here and I will send you an email reminder when this goes live (so you can get the best possible price too). I will also be going into the training a little bit more in the coming days, so don’t miss that either.

Update day 1: How to get an entrepreneur mind-set (being a leader not a follower)
The first chapter in this 72 page masterpiece gets down to some home-truths about what it takes to be successful online. It essentially gets our minds right for what is to come. Without understanding the reality of being a follower instead of a leader (a wantrapreneur instead of an entrepreneur), success is unlikely.
Lee does a beautiful job of setting us straight on this, pointing out that just because some online guru preaches one way of doing things, this does not mean it is the only way, or the best. This is about experiencing things for ourselves, and finding our own place in the online marketing world.
We could think of this approach like going to School while already knowing what we want to be ‘when we grow up’, and picking out the bits of what we are taught that will help us get there.
The first chapter is certainly an eye-opener. It will get you thinking, just like it did for me.
Tomorrow I will review chapter 2, so come back then and read what that is all about.
Update day 2: Three different approaches for your business
Chapter 2 takes the fact that we have a ‘shiny object’ obsession, and shows us three different ways to work this into our business model. Just to clarify, this ‘shiny object ‘obsession transforms from a bad thing (according to most ‘experts’) into an asset we can use to build our business.
Lee fully explains how our approach can take any one of three different paths. Each path has its positives, and negatives. That said, there is no doubt one of these will fit our business strategy well. One thing that is emphasised in this chapter is the need to be honest with our audiences. Specifically, we should never try to teach something we do not do ourselves. Makes perfect sense to me.
Now, in the earlier part of the review I stated that there were four business models we could follow.
Number four, and the most effective of them all, follows in the next chapter.
Update day 3: The fourth business model
Chapter 3 is where I had my “aha” moment. This model which we can use to base our blogs on is simply amazing. No other way to describe it. It is actually something I had been trying to do anyway, without even realising what I was doing.
What I got from this chapter is an actual plan to follow. It all makes perfect sense the way Lee explains it here. You see, it doesn’t matter whether the methods we try succeed, or not. All that matters is how we go about using them in our business.
I am not going to say any more on this because I don’t want to spoil the surprise for when you do the smart thing, and get this course. All will become crystal clear in an instant once you have read chapter 3.
Update day 4: Getting started
Chapter 4: This is where the rubber hits the road. All the talking about why we should do this is done, and Lee tells us exactly how to set up our blog. He even goes so far as telling us what to post, when, and how to make sure that we target relevant search terms for increased traffic.
Lee then goes on to show us how we can promote products in our posts without coming across all ‘salesy’ (is that even a word?). There is some pretty good stuff in this chapter. Read it several times, and you will pick up little bits here and there you may have missed the first time around.
This may well be the most important chapter of the whole course, so it is worth making sure it is completely understood before moving on to chapters 5 and 6.
Chapter 5: Building a subscriber list
If you have been around the internet marketing scene for any amount of time, you will most likely have heard the saying”the money is in the list”. This is certainly true in one sense. It all depends on how you use your list. Many marketers swear by the ‘promote hard’ approach. That is, send offers to your list every day. While this may work for some, the problem with this approach is that a lot of people will unsubscribe rather quickly if all we do is promote affiliate offers. This means we will need to be constantly adding new subscribers to replace the one who will inevitably leave. This approach is known as ‘churn and burn’. It is not an approach that I like, and I think there is a better way.
Lee agrees, and in this chapter he not only tells us how to build our list but also how to treat them so that they remain engaged, and a constant source of free traffic which we can send where we like at any time. This is powerful. It is also effective, and will help with getting us some much needed search engine ‘love’.
The finest details of how to attract leads using a squeeze page are covered here. The course then goes on to show us how we can recoup some of the cost (if not all of it) of getting traffic to our squeeze page, assuming we are using paid traffic, of course. We could also use free traffic methods but this takes time. I like to use paid traffic personally because it is quicker and can be highly targeted (I tested a couple of methods here).
Traffic, traffic, and more traffic
Chapter 6 is the penultimate chapter in this 72 page masterpiece of a course. We can build our blogs perfectly, set up an awesome lead capture funnel, and find tons of products to promote but none of that means a damn thing if we don’t let people know we are here. We need to actually get eyeballs on our content. This sounds obvious but you would be surprised how many people expect the visitors to just come once they add some content to their blog. Reality usually follows shortly, and this is where most people quit. The ‘build it and they will come’ mentality is just false hope, I am afraid.
There are tons of ideas for getting traffic in this chapter. Does Lee recommend any particular one? I am not going to tell you. You will have to read this for yourself to find out. Nah, just kidding. Use whatever works for you. The more the merrier, is Lee’s take on this.
Chapter 7 is essentially a complete course in its own right. Lee shows us how to craft our emails to our new subscribers, how to create headlines that get opens, and how to use our subscriber list to create a steady flow of visitors to our blogs. There is some pretty high-level advice in here my friend.
The final chapter goes over everything one more time, putting it all into a step by step list of things to do. Of course, each of the steps are covered in very great detail in the previous chapters but I like having a list of things to do. I find it really helpful to have a quick reference guide to hand. Lee has this covered in this chapter, as well as his bonus chapter – ‘Your Cheat Sheet’.
That about wraps up this review. What do I think? I love it. Absolutely love it. There is some incredibly valuable information in this course. I am so glad I got this. I really can’t think of anything that I don’t like about this. I normally try to include some things that I don’t like in my reviews but I couldn’t find anything in this course.
Like I said in the video above, I really did have an ‘awakening’ while I was going through this. It all makes perfect sense to me. Well done Lee. This is set to be the new go-to resource for aspiring internet marketers, in my opinion.
Til next time, take care.
